FG Collaborates With ASO Savings On Affordable Housing For Workers
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita has said that, her office is collaborating with Aso Savings and Loans Directorate on affordable housing for workers through the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s change agenda.
Mrs. Oyo-Ita disclosed this today in her office when she received in audience a delegation from Aso Savings and Loans Directorate led by its Executive Director Mrs. Risikatu Ladi Ahmed.
Represented at the occasion by the Permanent Secretary Common Services Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Mr. Yemi Adelakun, the Head of Service approved that a committee should be set up to work out modalities towards the realization of the scheme.
She said that, President Muhammadu Buhari is fully committed to the welfare of workers in order to improve service delivery and enhance economic development in the country.
Speaking earlier, the Executive-Director of Aso Savings and Loans Directorate, Mrs. Sikiratu Ladi Ahmed said that she was in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation to explore possible areas of collaboration,in the provision of affordable housing for workers.
She assured that with the collaboration, other categories of houses which did not fall within the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme can as well be affordable and can be negotiated.
